Our ideal Head of Accounting is a fantastic listener, critical thinker, team player, and very driven. This role is responsible for maintaining Docebo general ledger, prepare monthly-end reports, oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and fixed asset functions and assisting the audit process for the statutory accounts.

Reports to: Senior VP of Finance

You will:

  • Manage, build and support AP and AR teams;
  • Oversee accounts payable, including supporting the accountant (AP) in all daily activities, purchasing policy, authorization controls, vendor relationships;
  • Oversee accounts receivable, including support the Accountant (AR) in all monthly billing activities, revenue recognition policy, collection efforts, customer relationships, coordinating with other departments renewal, upselling, etc.;
  • Review monthly AR & AP aging and oversee preparation of monthly bank reconciliations
  • Assist AR in managing customers for collections and AP in managing vendors activities, including payments, managing efficiently the working capital;
  • Monthly general ledger processing, including preparing and supporting journal entries for monthly & quarterly closing, with focus on Revenue recognition monthly process
  • Coordinate with the Controller and SVPF all balance sheet and month-end PL estimates and make adjustment as instructed
  • Prepare month-end lead schedules for analysis of balance sheet accounts;
  • Assist Controller with inter-company related matters;
  • Work with the Controller in optimizing cash activities, preparing weekly/monthly/quarterly cash forecast to adhere to and to be reviewed by SVPF/CEO, managing efficiently the working capital;
  • Assist statutory, internal/external auditors with their requests and questions at mid-year and end of year, coordinating the activities in conjunction with the Controller and SVPF and external fiscal consultant;
  • Assist SVPF in conjunction with Controller in preparing the Consolidated Financial Statements;
  • Review open tax issues with SVPF & tax consultants (eg. transfer price);


You have:

  • BA/BS degree required;
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience; including audit experience from one of the 4 big audit firms;
  • Must possess excellent business judgment, strong written and oral communication skills, and a practical, common sense approach to getting things done;
  • Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment;
  • High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously;
  • Fluent in English.
